The Creative Lab

Your videos: My video, best moments, characters

Filmed yourself talking to the camera? Lektify cuts the silences, adds subtitles, and Agent Kéry dresses up your video or pulls out your best moments. You can also create characters and set up your video series once and for all.

"My video" talking to the cameraNew

Upload your filmed video (MP4 or MOV, no length limit). Lektify transcribes it word for word, cuts the silences and hesitations, adds karaoke subtitles, and Agent Kéry writes the on-screen hook, title, caption and hashtags. Your words are never rewritten.

Where: Studio › Creative Lab › Create for social › "My video" card, under "Where are you starting from?" (/studio/labo/creer) · OpenTranscription: 2 tokens per started minute. Dressing up: 15 tokens. Editing: 11 tokens on export. On Freemium: +20% on transcription, 18 for dressing up, 13 for editing. Edits included.
  1. Open the creation page. The "My video" card is under the question "Where are you starting from?". Click it.
  2. Click "Upload your filmed video" and choose your file (vertical is best).
  3. Choose "A single video" (your whole video, trimmed and subtitled). The total price is shown before anything is charged.
  4. Check "I have consent from the people who appear in this video.", then click "Start".
  5. Once the upload is done, you can close the tab. Your video will be waiting for you at the top of the creation page.
  6. Open it, make your edits, click "Assemble video", then "Download".

The video is compressed in your browser and uploaded in chunks. If the upload cuts out, upload the same file again and it'll pick up where it left off.

"What you say" and "Editing"New

The "What you say" panel shows every word in your video. Click a word to play it, remove it or fix its spelling in the subtitle. "Editing" controls the pace of the cuts, the hesitations, the zoom on cuts and the leveled sound.

Where: Studio › Creative Lab › a "My video" video › "What you say" panel
  1. Open your video. The "What you say" panel shows your transcript.
  2. Click a word, then "Remove" to cut it (Shift + click for several words), or "Restore" to undo.
  3. Double-click a word to "Fix" its spelling (the audio doesn't change).
  4. Mark a "Key word" so it keeps the subtitle color.
  5. In "Editing", pick "Pace" ("Natural", "Dynamic" or "Very dynamic"), and check or uncheck "Cut hesitations", "Zoom on cuts" and "Balanced sound".

Your video's audio stays yours: the AI doesn't redo any of it.

"Best moments" from a long videoNew

A live, a class, an interview? Agent Kéry listens to your video and suggests 5 to 8 clips that work on their own, each with its reasons. You pick the ones that become reels.

Where: Studio › Creative Lab › Create › "My video" card › "Best moments"Transcription: 2 tokens per minute, then 75 tokens for the search and styling (up to 20 minutes of video, +20 for each additional 20 minutes; +20% on Freemium, so 90). Creating reels and adjusting them: free. Editing each reel: 11 tokens on export (13 on Freemium).
  1. In the "My video" card, drop in your long video and choose "Best moments".
  2. Write "Instructions for Agent Kéry" if you like ("focus on practical tips, keep the stories"), check the box confirming the people filmed agreed, then click "Start".
  3. On the "Your best moments" board, click "Listen" to hear each moment cut just like in the final edit.
  4. Click "Adjust" to add or remove a sentence at the start or end ("One sentence earlier", "End one sentence sooner"…).
  5. Check the ones you're keeping, then click "Create the … reels".
  6. None of them work? Use "Run the search again · free", once per video.

An hour-long live turns into a week of reels in just a few clicks.

Keeping your source videoNew

Your filmed video is stored in "My media". It's deleted 90 days after your last export, with a reminder by email and in Media 7 days before. Your exported videos stay.

Where: Studio › Creative Lab › My media
  1. Watch for the reminder email, sent 7 days before deletion.
  2. Open "My media".
  3. If a banner says "Your filmed video "…" will be deleted on …", click "Keep my video".

My charactersNew

Create a made-up character (casting of 4 faces, then a sheet of 4 views) or yourself, on screen, from 1 to 5 photos with your consent. The character then appears in the scenes of your videos.

Where: Studio › Creative Lab › My characters (/studio/labo/personnages) · OpenCreation: 120 tokens on Business (the first one is free), 150 on Creator, 180 on Freemium. Scene with a character: 20 tokens (24 on Freemium).
  1. In the Creative Lab, open the "My characters" tile, then click "Create a character".
  2. "A made-up character": write "Their first name", describe them in one or two sentences, click "See 4 faces" and pick one (or "Suggest 4 other faces").
  3. Or "You, on screen": add 1 to 5 photos and check the consent box.
  4. Click "Create my character": their sheet of 4 views gets prepared.
  5. A character already in your Brand Kit shows up too: click "Activate · …" to create their sheet.
  6. In a reel's video workshop, open a clip's "Background", click "With a character", describe the scene, then click "Create the scene".

Not allowed: celebrities, real people without their consent, minors, nudity. Deleting a character erases all their images; videos already made stay. Up to 12 characters per account.

The Studio KitNew

Set up your video series once in 6 modules: characters, wardrobes, sets, voices, style and scripts. A gauge shows you what's missing so your videos look exactly the same from one episode to the next.

Where: Studio › Creative Lab › My characters › "Studio Kit" (/studio/labo/kit), or My kits › Studio Kit · OpenSetting up the kit costs no tokens.
  1. Hover over the "My characters" tile, then click "Studio Kit".
  2. Write the "Kit name" (your series name, one kit per series or universe), then click "Create the kit".
  3. Fill in the modules: "Characters" (with their "Locked description"), "Wardrobes", "Sets", "Voices", "Style" and "Scripts". You can add up to 30 private images per card with "Add an image".
  4. Click "Save" on each card.
  5. Follow the gauge at the top ("… % ready") to see what's still missing.

A character's locked description is copied word for word into every video: the more precise it is, the less the character changes. "Make the video" from a script is coming soon.

The voice catalog and "My voices"

Choose the voiceover for your videos from a catalog you can filter by gender, pitch, tone, age and accent, with a free sample. Your favorite voices are saved by language in your Brand Kit, and the workshop suggests them first.

Where: A reel's video workshop › "+ more voices", or Brand Kit › "Your voiceovers"
  1. In the video workshop, open the "Voice" drawer: "Your voices in …" appear.
  2. To see more, click "+ more voices" and filter by "Gender", "Pitch", "Tone", "Age" or "Accent".
  3. Listen to the sample, then click "Choose" and set its "Pace" ("Lively" or "Calm").
  4. To keep it, click "Add to my voices": it's saved by language in your Brand Kit ("My voices in …").
