Reader side
Comments and community
Readers talk directly about a specific passage of the Lekty'Book, and the creator leads and moderates their community. The discussion happens in the right place, not in a separate group.
Comment on a passage
Each comment is attached to the passage you're reading. The « Discussions » panel has two views: « This passage » and « Whole chapter ». You can attach an image, a file, a GIF, a video or a link, and add emojis. You need to be logged in to comment.
- Click a passage in the text, then the « Comments » icon in the right sidebar: the « Discussions » panel opens.
- Choose « This passage » or « Whole chapter ».
- Type in « Write your comment here… ».
- If you want, use the « Add an image », « Add a GIF », « Add a video », « Add a link » or « Attach a file » icons.
- Click « Post ».
Key difference from other platforms: the discussion lives inside the text, anchored to the passage. If the creator has turned comments off, the icon doesn't appear.
Badges in the margin
Badges with avatars and the number of replies appear next to commented passages. One click opens that passage's thread directly. You can hide them.
- Click a badge in the margin: the « Discussions » panel opens on that passage.
- To hide them, open « Appearance » and turn off « Comments in the margin » (the Comments tab is still available).
Reply, react, mention
Threaded replies, 8 quick reactions plus an emoji picker, and mentions with @ (the person gets notified).
- Under a comment, click « Reply ».
- Type @ followed by the start of a name to mention someone.
- Click « Post reply ».
- Click « React » to pick one of the 8 quick emojis, or open the emoji picker.
Create a poll
A poll inside a comment, with results visible to « Everyone » or « Only me », and votes that are « Attributed », « Anonymous » or « Voter's choice ». To change your vote, click a different answer.
- In the comment box, click the « Create a poll » icon.
- Write « Your question… » and at least 2 options (« + Add an option »).
- Choose « Results visible to » (« Everyone » or « Only me ») and « Vote identity ».
- Click « Add poll », then « Post ».
Edit, delete or report
You can edit your message (it shows « edited ») or delete it, and report another reader's comment, including for spoilers.
- On a comment, click « More actions » (the three dots).
- Choose « Edit », « Delete » or « Report ».
- To edit, change the text, then click « Save ».
- To report, choose a reason (« Spam », « Harassment », « Offensive content », « Spoiler », « Other »), then click « Report ».
Notifications and preferences
A bell in the top bar lets you know about replies, mentions and votes, with a direct link to the passage. For each Lekty'Book, you choose what you receive.
- Click the "Notifications" bell in the top bar, then click a notification to open the passage.
- In the "Discussions" panel, open "Notifications for this Lekty'Book".
- Choose "All", "Creator + my threads" or "Mentions only".
The creator leads and moderatesNew
The creator turns comments on or off for each Lekty'Book, sees comments while writing in the editor, hides a comment or blocks a reader, handles reports and answers pending questions, with a reply suggested by Lekty if needed. Their name carries the "Author" badge.
- On a comment, click "More actions", then "Hide" or "Block this reader".
- In the same menu, click "Suggested reply": Lekty writes a draft for you to review before you post it.
- In "Activity", open "Questions to answer" and click "Reply with Lekty".
- Handle the "Reports to review" with "Hide", "Ignore" or "Block".
